Purple Power Smoothie

As you all know, I have been a busy lady lately.

I have been working some insane hours, and as a result, haven’t been eating as well as usual. On TV and film sets there’s always a plethora of sweet snacks and not so healthy alternatives around to keep tired bodies on the move.

The problem is, most, especially myself, get a quick sugar high from the sugary trail mix or chocolate laid out and then crash quickly.

The good news is, I’m working on the show of my dreams, so I’m determined to stay my usual energetic healthy self. With this in mind, I’ve been packing healthy snacks like hard boiled eggs, veggies and hummus, raw nuts, green juices, and of course…smoothies!

Today I made a purple power smoothie to get me going. It’s packed in antioxidants and energizing ingredients so that I can still look like I’m in my twenties after all of this. I may be Gillian Young, but zero sleep and a poor diet makes me look tired and about 300-years-old. And that won’t do! So I’m sipping up!

Here’s a sneak peek into my kitchen and my smoothie creation! Ignore the bags under my eyes and enjoy!
