Fresh Food Month Re-Cap

in General, Monthly Recap

January has been a very busy month for Ayah and I so we apologize for the lack of posts!

Not only did Ayah re-vamp our site this month, but we’ve had busy work days and I flew toParis for a week and started a new job!  But we’re still here, hungry and healthy as ever with lots of recipes to share.

fall vegetables

This month was FRESH food month and we focused on bringing back a little freshness to our lives after the winter holidays.  This was very successful to me as I increased my vegetable intake a lot, even making sure to eat big salads and fresh fruit (to balance out all the wine) inParis.

Here’s a re-cap of some of our fresh favorites this month:

FRESH LINK LOVE:

The twins over at Pure2Raw are always coming up with great recipes, and this quinoa vegetable pie is no exception!

Kris from Cook, Bake, Nibble is inspiring us with her stuffed pepper recipe.  There are so many possibilities with this!

Kris at I Heart Wellness is a magician when it comes to making fresh foods delicious.  We can’t wait to whip up some of her tomato sauce eggs.

I’m fast falling in love with the Healthy Hipster and her wonderful blog.  These sweet grain free muffins are packed with vegetables in fruit – a perfect way to keep things fresh and fun in the morning!

You could serve us these hummus and avocado toasts with roasted tomatoes from Eat Live Run any time of day!

Mama Pea’s vegan roasted chickpea tacos have us wanting to throw a little fiesta

Can’t wait to try these Cinnamon Apple Chips for a sweet and healthy snack

Two words: Crockpot Granola. Need we say more?!

Thanks so much for the mention, I love your blog! Especially your emphasis on affordable ingredients! I really don’t know how I’d survive without a pantry full of peasant food. :)
